Extended Care
A wide variety of special classes and clubs including drama, chess, ceramics, capoeira and many others are part of the After School program. Children also have time for free play, relaxation and exploration inside and on the play yards. A homework room is provided and the school library schedules some after school hours. Students may attend as "regulars" or on a drop-in basis. Early morning childcare, beginning at 7 AM, is also offered.

Synergy Summer 2008
Opportunities abound for all children to explore their creativity and experience the rewards of physical challenges at Synergy Summer. Offered in three-week or four-week sessions, the summer program offers special elements for each session such as drama, dance, cooking, track and field and sculpture. "Out and about" trips take the children outside on field trips throughout the city several days a week. This program is open to Synergy students and others in first through sixth grade. It also gives older students and alumni the opportunity to participate as counselors in training and, finally, as teachers in the program.
