Please join us for Synergy's annual Community Service Fundraiser. This year, we are working at Ocean Beach on October 22, 2011 to remove trash from San Francisco's beautiful shoreline. The event is followed by a picnic at the beach.
All Synergy families are required to participate in this event, which is held each fall and is organized by a committee of approximately 15 Synergy families. Instead of hiking or running in a marathon, we solicit pledges to support our volunteering efforts. Over the years, the event has evolved into families participating in community service work together. In this way, students are learning about the value of doing good works, building community together, and simultaneously raising funds for Synergy.
Pledges: We solicit fundraising pledges to support our volunteering efforts. Remember, your family is obligated to participate in this fundraiser and collect a minimum of $250 in pledges.
Directions: Meet next to Stairwell 17 at Ocean Beach parking lot – across the street from the Beach Chalet restaurant and just south of the intersection of Fulton Street and the Great Highway. (See Google map below)

Important Dates
- Friday, October 7: Intent to Participate and Volunteer Services Agreement Forms due in the office.
- Friday, October 14: Suggested date by which sponsors commit pledges.
- Saturday, October 22: Restore-a-Thon event at Ocean Beach.
- Monday, October 24: Pledge sheets and contributions turned into the office.
