Scrip and EScrip
Scrip is an easy way to raise money for Synergy School by linking your regular shopping to fundraising for the school.
Synergy has two kinds of Scrip:
-
eScrip - This national group raises money for schools through merchant loyalty. Participants register credit, debit and grocery club cards online, and when they make a purchase with a participating merchant using any of those cards, 1% to 4% comes back to Synergy as a donation. Nothing more is required of the participant after registering their cards!
Sign up online at www.eScrip.com (Synergy's ID number is 119539715). You don't even have to be a current parent at the school! Alumni, parents of alums, grandparents and friends all over the country can sign up too, so spread the word!
-
Paper Scrip - This variety of scrip involves purchasing paper vouchers or cards for several local stores, for the full dollar value from Synergy's front office. From the face value, Synergy gets 7.5% - 10% back as a donation. Rainbow Groceries, Peet's Coffee and Tea, and Good Life Groceries (Bernal Heights and Potrero Hill in San Francisco) participate.
Scrip works a lot like Synergy: if everyone does a little, it adds up to a lot. There are already over a hundred Synergy families signed up for EScrip. In the 2004-2005 school year EScrip and paper scrip together brought the school over $5,000. The more people who participate, the more money we raise.
