Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in Synergy School. We invite you to explore our website and attend a tour to learn more about our progressive, hands-on approach to education. Video: Welcome to Synergy School

We are an inclusive community and actively recruit a diversity of learners and a diversity of families. The criteria we use to evaluate applicants includes academic and social readiness for each grade level, philosophical match between the school and families, and willingness on the part of families to support and participate in our community.

The first step in the admissions process is to complete an inquiry form. You will then receive an email to schedule a visit during our tour season from late September to early January. If you are inquiring after our application deadline, we will reach out if there are openings to fill.

Inquiry Form

Once you have attended an orientation/tour, a link to our online application is emailed to you that same day. The deadline to apply for the 2024-2025 school year is Friday, January 12, 2024.

Once an application has been submitted, families should expect an email to schedule a 30-minute parent interview via Zoom conferencing. By mid-January, expect another email to schedule an in-person visit and interview for your child.

One-hour play dates for TK/Kindergarten applicants are scheduled on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

Two-hour visits for 1st through 8th grade applicants are scheduled from mid-January through late February.

All are welcome to Synergy School’s open house on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Bring your family and friends and meet our teachers, staff, trustees, alumni and students. No registration is required.

Please note: Attending an open house does not replace the requirement to attend a parent orientation and tour. Only parents or guardians attending an orientation and tour will receive a link to the online application.

Teacher evaluations for all grade levels and student transcripts for 1st through 8th grade are due no later than January 31.

Families are asked to sign the applicable forms below and give them to their child’s teacher.

Transitional kindergarten decisions are emailed at noon on Thursday, March 7, 2024. 

Kindergarten through 8th grade decisions are emailed at noon on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
