We are an inclusive community and actively recruit a diversity of learners and a diversity of families. The criteria we use to evaluate applicants includes academic and social readiness for each grade level, philosophical match between the school and families, and willingness on the part of families to support and participate in our community.
Here's how to get started:
The first step in the admissions process is to complete an inquiry form and schedule a parent tour.
We recommend that you attend our open house to meet our teachers, staff, parents, and trustees. The entire family is invited. No RSVP is required.
Please note: Our open house is not the same as a parent tour. A parent tour includes an orientation by our admissions director as well as classroom visits, allowing you to observe our progressive approach to education in action. Attending a tour is a necessary step in the admissions process.
Once you have attended a parent tour, a link to our online application is emailed to you. The deadline to apply for the 2020-2021 school year is Friday, January 10, 2020.
Once an application has been submitted, families should expect an email to schedule a 20-minute parent interview. By mid-January, expect another email to schedule a child visit.
Kindergarten applicants attend an hour-long play date on Saturday, February 1, 2020 or Saturday, February 8, 2020.
Applicants for the 1st through 3rd grades are invited for a morning visit.
Fourth and 5th grade applicants spend a half day with us.
Middle school applicants come for a morning visit, followed by a Saturday interview session.
