Spanish - 8th Grade

The Spanish program in middle school includes linguistic and cultural components relevant to understanding the context and use of the Spanish language. Classes are a combination of direct instruction with activities and projects. The overall goal is to provide students with opportunities for interacting and learning the language in class in ways that are meaningful and purposeful.

Students speak more of the target language in class and aspire to a higher standard of integrating all that they have learned while delving into more complicated grammar topics. The culmination of their Spanish education is a trip to Costa Rica, which provides students with an opportunity to be immersed in the language while doing community service in Palmichal.
